AESTHETIC LUXURY MEETS UTILITARIAN FUNCTION

INTERIOR SPECIFICATIONS

  • One of a kind finish details. Steel was placed in all the high wear areas. The floor was built over a layer of aluminum backed sound deadening insulating material and 3/4 in marine grade plywood for an extremely durable floor.

  • Scandinavian clean design. Lightweight and durable, as well as easy to clean. Below the kitchen tiling is a magnetically latched shoe storage area.

  • I have two Pivot Shuttle Electric mountain bikes inside the van. They fit securely using the thru axle of the fork with absolutely no rattling. Also nearby the bikes is 110 AC power so you can charge without removing the bikes. Extremely discrete, and doesn’t draw attention to your van when in urban environments.

  • High Quality thick foam mattress that doesn’t compromise at all being that it is inside a van. It is Greenguard Gold and CertiPUR-US certified so free of harmful chemicals and has a 10 year warrenty.

  • Specced on Flarespace’s website it costs $3k. Allows for sleeping sideways with about 80 inches of space. Slider windows allow for amazing natural airflow when combined with the Maxxair fan or AC unit.

  • Enjoy hot showers whenever you want! Closes using a nautilus retractable shower door. Shower head is powerful yet only a 0.5 Gallon flow rate to conserve water.

  • Uses a fully articulating aluminum Lagun table mount with solid wood. Fully built in the USA

  • Fully intergraded with a smart phone app, it’s fully electric and works great to keep you either warm or cool. It provides 5100 BTUs of cooling and 6100 BTUs of heating. Extremely power effecient.

  • Ample size, and easily accesses underneath the cooktop. Unlike a chest fridge you can grab a drink quick.

  • This ceiling mounted fan can pull air in or push air out, multiple speeds, remote control, thermostatic control, this is the key to keeping the van fresh and ventilated.

  • The induction stovetop works great with the battery system and boils water fast. It also eliminates the need for potentially dangerous propane.

  • I couldn’t be in a van without knowing I have a reliable way to make an amazing cup of espresso. I chose a manual machine because it conserves power and is much higher quality then a Nespresso machine or something similar.

  • All lightning in the van is LED, which makes it highly efficient and provides ample lightning. Manual switches, or connects to your smartphone to customize color. It even syncs to music if you’d like to impress your guests.

  • Simple but it works. Considering upgrading to a LAVEO DRY FLUSH TOILET but I haven’t yet. Let me know if that is important to you and we can make it happen.

  • Delivers piping hot water on demand to the sink and the shower head. Thermal efficiency is 98%. Also can be plumbed into the vans cooling system to passively create hot water whenever you drive.

  • Plenty of water in my opinion. The grey tank is fully sealed and has a switch in the driver’s cab for easy dumping.

  • A Frizzlife water filter system is a two-stage Advanced Water Filter with 0.5 Micron filtration. It is mounted under the sink, allowing on-demand fresh drinking water. (BPA Free, reduces lead, chlorine, bad taste & odor)

  • Top-of-the-line flame retardant (and vegan) Thinsulate insulation was used exclusively on the build, as well as aluminum backed sound deadening material to create as quiet of a van as possible.

  • Keeps you organized and a minimalist. Also stops things from rattling while you drive.

  • I haven’t seen anyone else do this in a van. I am quite proud of how it turned out and works even better than I expected. So efficient to use and when you use it with packing cubes it looks awesome.

  • All metal. No plastic junk that will break. It has a satisfying crisp click sound when you close the drawers or cabinet.

  • Underneath a seating area its a great place to store your valuables as well as tech gear. I use it with a padlock.

  • Allows for the front passenger to swivel around to be included in the eating area.

PERSONAL STORY

As a wedding videographer for 8 years, this Mercedes Sprinter van was originally built strictly out of necessity while working remote outdoor wedding venues and having a reliable vehicle to sleep / shower after each wedding shoot was needed. I quickly fell in love with the van itself and the lifestyle / experiences that it has afforded me over the years. The level of flexibility that it provides when on a road trip, not stressing about where you will find accommodations each night has proven so valuable to me that I can’t see myself ever not owning a van built out like this one. I have new concepts to pursue in the build process so I am looking to pass this van onto a new owner. In terms of highlights, the internal secure storage of two electric Mountain Bikes has to be my favorite, followed by its aesthetic without becoming impractical. Hand built by myself over the past 3 years with oversight by a trusted local elite van building company. Let me know if you would like to see this van in person. The primary location is in Reno / Tahoe, but I often find myself in the Bay Area, LA, San Diego, and Santa Barbara, CA.

ELECTRICAL SPECIFICATIONS

  • Placed low and descreetly on the roof. High output.

  • Victron is the best. Very reliable with built in security features. I frequently run a 2019 Apple iMac in the van with video editing.

  • Expandable if needed. They are actually labeled as dragon fly batteries (recently rebranded to battle born). They are around $950 each. Industry leading.

  • More Victron. Solid reliabliltiy.

  • Allows you to view battery voltage inside as well track it on your smartphone via bluetooth.

  • External mounted AC plug so that you can run on shore power and or simultaneously charge your batteries.

  • No need to think about anything. Automatically turns on to allow your van to charge your van batteries using the alternator while driving.

  • Great to have in bed. Keep your phone charged without the need to turn your inverter on.
